Norwich Gundog Club held their second Open Trial on 18th November at the Letheringsett Estate by the very kind invitation of Mr and Mrs Robert Carter. Mr Carter is the president of our club and we are very lucky to have him as he is so enthusiastic and passionate about shooting and conservation in the countryside. He gave a welcome speech and wished all the handlers an enjoyable day. Harvey Forder was Steward of the Beet with his assistant Richard Orford. Harvey started the dogs walking up in phacelia crop which really made the dogs and their handlers concentrate and work hard to find the birds. The Guns shot some some lovely high birds and hardly missed enabling the trial to flow nicely all day. We ended the day with a mini drive. The winner was Adam Snare with Trevear Constantine Of Mearecastle: which made the dog up to FT CH subject to KC confirmation. Adam was rightly over the moon with the result. He was also winner of Guns Choice. A Big Thank You go all the helpers, beaters and the guns. Gitte and Sue for the usual high standard of catering, Ian Crompton our Chairman who is always on hand to help us all. Skinners our sponsors for many years who are so generous in their support. This was our third trial in one of the three spectacular Norfolk Estates we have been lucky enough to be able to hold our trials on. An extra big Thank You to all the owners of those estates. Good Luck to all those who have qualified for the Championships. Pamela Wimmer. FT Sec.

Second was Tommy Weekley with Connisbrook’s Berneray of Rayardel. 3rd was Julia Reed and winner of Guns Choice with Santana Moonflower. COM Louise Munchaus Adsboel with Mikamores Fahrenheit.
